Perceptual learning in Nystagmus

wikipedia

Nystagmus manifests as abnormal, involuntary oscillation of eyes. The defective eye movements cause functional disability such as poor vision and poor ability to fixate on objects of interest. This results in difficulties in performing day to day tasks. Despite the profound functional impact, we currently lack efficient methods to treat the condition. In this project, we will use Perceptual Learning vision training to improve visual functions in nystagmus.

We have recently received the Fight for Sight Nystagmus network research grant for this project and will be updating this page with progress in this exciting project.
